Xa Chi Do

Xa Chi Do is an adapted form of Xa-Ryu. At first glance it resembles Tai Chi although the principles and application are completely different. Where the philosophy of Tai Chi is based on Taijitu, commonly known as the Yin-Yang, Xa Chi Do is the detailed study of the body's movement and flexibility through the application of strikes and blocks.

The application of this martial art form is of low impact but high sensitivity. It is made up of a variety of repetitive sequences, which have been carefully devised to serve several purposes. The sequences, which are often practiced in slow motion for optimum precision, teach the forms and structures of Xa-Ryu, whilst promoting concentration and physical and mental health.

Xa Chi Do is a softer style of martial art, perfect for beginners who are interested in Xa-Ryu. It is a great form of exercise as it promotes cardiovascular fitness. At the same time Xa Chi Do will assist in opening your energy channels, helping you to relax and grow spiritually and mentally through the art of meditation.
